Igaucu Falls - Cataratas do Iguacu - a mammoth series of waterfalls that plunge thorough a gorge on the Iguacu River. Some 275 falls cascade over the 3 km wide 90 meter high precipice, creating a never ending wall of rainbow decorated spray. The Falls are part of an extraordinary virtually virgin jungle ecosystem protected by Argentine and Brazilian national parks and are a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.
The tour includes two nights accommodation at Iguacu Falls and includes a full day's tour of both sides of the cascades. Two thirds of the falls are on the Argentine side of the river where you will tour Iguaçu National Park. The view from the Brazilian side is the most panoramic and where boat rides and helicopter flights are available.
For the remainder of your vacation you are able to enjoy Rio de Janeiro, staying at a selected Copacabana beach front hotel. A full day city orientation tour is included for guests new to Rio and there is a wide choice of other optional tours. A comprehensive brochure describing Rio and its life is provided, and when you need help professional English speaking guides are available to assist with your plans.
